Emily D. Melise LaPorte

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Virginia (Rao) Fusco.

She was a member of the Johnston Senior Center. She enjoyed walking with the Johnston Police and was an avid Providence Bruins fan.

She was the loving mother of Robert Melise, Richard Melise, Ralph Melise, Donna Sirois, Karen Hogan, Emily Melise and the late Albert Melise, Jr. and Stephen Melise, Sr.; stepmother of Denise Skitt and her husband Thomas; mother in law of Cheryl Melise, Edmond Sirois, Michael Hogan, Terrance Brooks, Theresa Melise, and Paula Melise; sister of the late Mary Pricolo, Joseph Fusco, Katherine Piro, Rose Panozzi and Virginia Burns; cherished grandmother of 21; great-grandmother of 17; and great-great-grandmother of 5.

Visitation will be held Tuesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. in PONTARELLI-MARINO HOME, 971 Branch Ave, Providence. Funeral will begin Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cherry Hill Manor Patient’s Activity Fund, 2 Cherry Hill Road, Johnston, RI 02919.
