Domenica Barsoian

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Rocco and Giacinta (Cioli) DeSimone.

She was the mother of Andrew Barsoian (Deborah), Giacinta Drummy (Chris) and the late Stephen Barsoian (Sandra) and Giulianna Barsoian; grandmother of Andrew (Bethany), Olivia (the late Ethan), Domenica, Arianna and the late Stefan and great grandmother of Tyler, Elliot and Sophia.

Domenica was the most caring, loving, and compassionate person. Her home was open to everyone, and she was a loving mom to many of her children’s friends. Her family was everything. She was the heart of her family. As a proud Italian woman, she had a passion for cooking. She made everything from scratch often using ingredients from her garden. She loved reading, drawing, knitting, and playing cribbage. She spent many summers by the ocean with her family. Her favorite sports teams were the Red Sox and the Patriots.

Domenica embraced everyone she met with a warmth and love that was indescribable. She was one of the kindest people who cared so deeply for others.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 11:00 am in St Vartanantz Church, 402 Broadway, Providence. Burial will be private.
