Arlene D. (Nero) Tomassi, 81, passed away March 23, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Dante Tomassi. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Guiseppe and Henrietta (Petorella) Nero.
Along with her husband she is survived by her daughter, Darlene J. Calise and her husband Robert; her grandchildren Eric, Kristen, and Dante Robert; her great-grandson Alexander; and her brother William Nero. She was the sister of the late Peter, Anthony, John and Joseph Nero, Mary Oberg and Clare Iarocci.
Visitation Wednesday 4-7 p.m. with a funeral on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Ave., Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:15 a.m. in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fouth Street, North Providence, RI 02911.
