Alfred Mansuetti Jr.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Alfred Sr. and Ora (Ferrucci) Mansuetti; beloved husband of Cheryl (Mancini) Mansuetti; devoted father of Ciara L. Mansuetti (Joseph Senna) and Kimba L. Mansuetti; cherished grandfather of Anastacia and Jalen Senna; brother of Sandra A. Boisvert and the late Kenneth Mansuetti and Robin Mansuetti.

Born to the late Alfred Mansuetti Sr. and Ora Mansuetti, Alfred Jr. would later grow to become such an inspirational, admirable, loving, and generous person. As a high school teenager, Alfred pursued Cheryl (Mancini) Mansuetti, who would later become the love of his life and life partner. They spent countless days together, never apart. Years progressed as they dated, married, and created their family. Ciara Lynn and Kimba Lynn were brought into their lives created from pure love.

As an engaging father, there was never a father/daughter dance, school open house, pageant, or dance competition that he failed to attend. Whether he worked his scheduled full time hours, overtime hours, or part-time side occupations, his family always remained top priority. There was never an event, situation, or obligation that Alfred did not prioritize accordingly.

Alfred never ceased to express the highest levels of love, generosity, care, compassion, assistance, friendship, reliability, selflessness, kindness, public spirit, and humanitarianism. Whether one was a complete stranger, friend of few or many years, or family, Al would treat everyone as if they were of the utmost importance to him.

Alfred had contributed the last 45 years of his blessed days as a Public Safety Officer for Providence College, which he established many friendships based on generosity, care, consideration, and love.

As a Public Safety Officer on campus, he continued to always help and support his fellow co-workers, superiors, visiting parents/families, or individuals from the student body until he exhausted every effort. He was recognized for his 45th year of employment in which he was honored with an award ceremony and a very special dinner alongside his biggest supporters, his family.

Aside from being survived by his wife Cheryl and two daughters Ciara and Kimba, he was a devoted grandfather to his granddaughter Anastacia, and grandson Jalen. There was not a first day of school, birthday, holiday, or special milestone that he failed to partake in for them. He shared his love for the Dallas Cowboys and strategic politics with his wife, daughters, granddaughter, and son-in-law. Alfred also took a deep passion for classic cars in which he competed and won numerous awards for his prized possession the 1986 Mustang GT. His love for vehicle restoration will be survived by his daughter Kimba, grandson Jalen, and son-in-law Joseph.

Being a protective father, he allowed his heart to love and accept those who took on the responsibility of loving, protecting, and providing for his daughters and grandchildren. Alfred could turn any frown upside down, any gloomy day full of sunshine, any bad moment to a positive future outcome. He never let his family struggle or need for anything. Too often enough he would be the first on scene to assist in any way he could or be the last to leave to ensure everyone's safety and security. Where there was laughter Alfred was the root of it with his coined phrase, "WOW!!". When there was a "What if..?" he always advised us to "Get it done and answer questions later".

Al, dad, grandpa you will be missed beyond words but will always live on in our memories, hearts, minds, and souls. We will always be honored and blessed to have had you in our lives no matter on what level. We will always be grateful for any lesson or piece of advice you ever lent us. We will always be grateful for you loving those in your life wholeheartedly. It is never goodbye, rather see you later. Until we meet again!

Visitation and Funeral will be held Monday from 9:30-10:30 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations are welcomed.
