Sylvia Marie Jarrell Bailey, 90, of Maple View Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away at her home, on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.
Born October 9, 1928 in Dorothy, WV; she was the daughter of the late Adron Jarrell and, Sr. and Alpha Omega Halstead Jarrell.
She had been a resident of Bluefield and Princeton all of her adult life. She enjoyed gardening, front porch sitting, and watching the cooking channels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Franklin (Windy) Bailey in 2005; a son, Billy Ray Phillips; brothers, Jr, Charles, Sonny, and Lonnie Jarrell; half-brother, Bobby Jarrell; sisters, Harvella Cook and Nina Shannon; half-sister, Sara Burdick.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Richard Bailey and wife, Debbie of Princeton, and Delbert Bailey and wife, Jean, with whom she made her home; grandsons, Sean Phillips, Kelly Bailey, and Kevin Bailey; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Sylvia Marie Jarrell Bailey will be held 4:00PM Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Roselawn Funeral Home, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton with Tony Reed officiating. Following the services, she will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 2:00PM until time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
