WHITE, Christopher Walter “Kip” age 63 of Prince George passed away peacefully on Monday August 26th, 2024. Chris lived a life most people dreamed of. Wild and free spirited. He was always joyful and willing to help anyone who needed it. He was a devoted Christian. His love for poetry, writing and art went hand in hand with his love for nature, animals and the outdoors. He traveled all over Canada, he visited Mexico, England, France, Alaska and countless states in the US. He followed his heart wherever he went, and it always led him back home. In his early 30’s he completed the Appalachian trail on his own. His love for geography, fast cars and living wildly showed in nearly everything he did. Chris was loved by so many people. Near and far. Family and friends. His love for the Hart Community was admirable.
Chris was as a son, brother, uncle, mentor, author, storyteller and a true friend.
His parents Thomas and Shirley were his everything. Chris was one of 7 siblings. He was fortunate to have 3 brothers and 3 sisters, who loved him dearly.
“Kip taught me the art of perseverance and determination.” – Jim White
“We get to be so proud of him, having such an amazing, incredible life of travel, heartfelt connections and love, in spite of his psychological problems.” – Catherine Wallace
“Kip was extremely courageous living a life of a old crusader who loved his family and spun a good yarn. You will always be in my heart.” – Jean White
“Chris always reminds me of the song ‘Wild Thing.’ He definitely marched to the beat of his own drum not always to everyone’s liking. But that did not persuader him in the slightest. He carved his own path, which was admired by many, me included. I’ll miss him.” – Ken White
“Kip, when we were young, I ran to keep up where you would lead. Now I see you high up on the hill and you stand beckoning me to follow … and I call to you to wait! Not yet my brother, not yet … I can’t follow you just yet, but I am coming soon. Wait for me. Wait!” – Roger White
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light into my path … Psalms 119 vs 105 My brother Chris (Kip we loved to call him) taught me to love the Lord God and to serve Him through Jesus Christ our Lord. As for our adopted sister Saara, she was Chris’s angel always by his side rescuing him from his many scrapes in his life. She helped him live his nine lives. Thank you dear Saara for all you did to help our dear never to be forgotten brother Chris.” – Anne Rushton
“Kip allowed me to love him unconditionally, unapologetically, knowing I only wanted his best and to follow his wishes. The true raw nature of my friendship with him taught me things I didn’t know existed.” – Saara Koski
“To Kippy, I always remember you to be the most kind and generous person. Not going any further than when I arrived in Canada, you were the one, that came to visit during the day, breaking up my routine and teaching me how to play cribbage with sign language and a dictionary. I will always be grateful to you for sharing your time and for your giving. Throughout your life that quality never changed. You gave to the homeless, animals or whoever was in need. See you later alligator.” – Maria White
He will raise you up on Eagles wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you shine like the sun and hold you in the palm of His hand.
Chris will be deeply missed and remembered by his brothers, Ken White (Andrea) Roger White and Jim White (Eileen.) Sisters, Anne Rushton (Lyle) Jean White (Rob Moore) and Catherine Wallace (Doug.)
Maria White, Saara Koski as well as many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. Chris was predeceased by his father Thomas George (2005) and his mother Shirley May (2022.)
Go rest with Jesus who is the prince of peace; our dear brother Chris … you are sadly missed already but we understand that you are in a better place, so go soar high.
We love you.
