William Bailey Freeman "Bill", 87 of Prattville, Alabama, formerly of Decatur Mississippi, passed away on November 21, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Annie Lee Scoggins Freeman; his sister, Frances Jane Freeman (Hollingsworth) and his granddaughter, Rebecca Nicole Merren. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” F. Hines Freeman; daughter, Wanda Lynn Freeman (Belyeu) (Brad); son, William Scott Freeman (Heather); brother, Johny W. Freeman (Sarah); sister, Joyce A. Freeman (Nance) (Jerry); grandchildren, Hannah A. Merren Adkins (Trey), William Colby Freeman and Stephen Connor Freeman; and great grandson, Stetson Joseph Adkins.
Bill served in the US Air Force for 25 years and after retirement worked for Civil Service with the Marines for 20 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing golf. But what he enjoyed the most was playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

A graveside service for Bill will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery, Newton, MS.
