Susan was preceded in death by: her parents: Clifford and Hattie Bateman, her husband: Alvin Cranfield, and son: Samuel Searcy.
Susan was survived by: her two children: Jim Searcy (Lesley) and June Lambert (Wayne), her sister, June Grant (Glenn), three grandchildren: Katie Lindsey (Joe), Ben Lambert (Amy), and Sam Searcy, as well as seven great-grandchildren: Grayson Gazell, Grady Gazell, Searcy Lambert, Evie Lambert, Josie Lindsey, Kortlan Hammons, and Kinsley Hammons along with her friend and caregiver Diane Caver.
Susan was a retired educator, community leader, and a faithful member of St. Mark's Episcopal. She loved reading and being a part of her book club. Susan Bateman Cranfield was loved by many and will be missed by all.
A visitation for Susan will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church followed by a memorial service at 12:30 PM.
