Shirley Embry

Shirley Embry, 73, of Montgomery, Alabama, formally of Prattville, Alabama, passed away January 25, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Bazzell and Jettie Manning Bazzell. She is survived by her daughter, Kelley Embry; grandchildren, Brayland Whitson and Brielle Shake.

Shirley enjoyed visiting with friends and family. She especially adored her two grandchildren. She loved shopping and going out to eat. She had a passion for flowers, always sharing from her garden with others. She had a genuine and deep love for animals, especially cats, caring not only for her own but the neighborhood cats as well. She attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, where she also worked for many years. She was a dedicated, longtime employee with the State of Alabama. Shirley was a kind and loving person who was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Shirley will be held Monday, January 30, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel, 347 East Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067. Following the visitation will be a graveside at 1:30 PM at Pine Level UMC Cemetery, 1926 County Road 109, Prattville, Alabama 36066.
