Ella Carol Berry

Ella Carol Berry, age 70, was born August 9, 1948 and passed away, peacefully, May 5, 2019. Carol's visitation will be Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Ridout's Prattville Chapel at 9:00 am. A Chapel service will be led by Minister Cody Carpenter at 10:00 am. Carol will be laid to rest at Prattville Memory Gardens following a short graveside service.

Carol loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing softball, trying her hand at new crafts like sewing and ceramics. She liked cooking and loved the outdoors, especially fishing.

Carl was preceded in death by her father Bennie Grooms and her mother Mozella Grooms Baker.

Carol is survived by her devoted husband Alan Berry, her daughter Melissa Berry (Greg Campbell), and Teresa (Kerry) Hollon, and her son Richard Berry. Granddaughters Ashley (Cody) Carpenter, Megan Hollon, and Morgan Hollon Grandsons Colin Fleming, Matthew Hollon, and Jay Berry. Carol's sister Beck (Clarence) Cargill, her brother Tommy Grooms, brother Mike (Genie Morgan) Grooms, her sister Jo (Bill Pace) Grooms, her sister Jeannie Grooms and her sister Lyn (Greg) Miller and many cousins, nieces and nephews who all love her dearly.

Carol's family would like to thank the nurses and home health aides that have been with her and cared for her over these last 34 years. Mrs. Ann Spears, Rhonda Morris, and Mrs. Nita McKay your care, Friendship and love for not only Carol but her family will never be forgotten. You were a blessing and we love all.
