Anna S. Manning

Anna S. Manning, age 70, of Parishville, NY passed away suddenly on June 2oth at her residence. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 26th at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church with Rev. Stephen Rocker celebrant. Burial will follow the service at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Parishville, NY. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 25th from 4-7 pm. Anna is survived by her husband Richard V. Manning; sisters Vanessa Rusaw and Laura Simmons; brother Frank Simmons; nieces and nephews Timothy Rusaw, Melanie Fregoe, Stacey Dowdle, Erin Rusaw, Mitchell Simmons and Jamie Simmons and several great nieces and nephews.

Anna was born March 4, 1949 in Potsdam, NY to Vane Simmons and Iva Bresee. She attended Potsdam Central High School but graduated from a high school in Germany while her father was stationed there in the service. Anna worked at Kinney Drugs in Potsdam and then for the Richard V. Manning Law Offices in Parishville as a legal secretary for over 30 years.

Anna was a devout catholic. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church. She was a member and past president of the Altar and Rosary Society. She taught Sunday School at St. Michael’s Church for years. She also taught catechism class for many years. The St. Mary's Church Altar and Rosary Society will be saying the rosary on Tuesday at 6:30 at the funeral home.
