Portland, Oregon - Tommy "Oz" Osborn, 48 of Portland, Oregon, formerly of East Liverpool, Ohio, was tragically taken from us early the morning of Nov. 2nd. Oz was born in Oxnard, California on Oct. 24, 1971, the only son of the late Thomas L. and Linda (Adams) Osborn of Calcutta, Ohio. He was raised in East Liverpool and graduated from ELHS in 1990. Oz was a free spirit and lived life to its fullest. He had a charismatic nature that was contagious and anyone who ever met him became a friend. Oz didn't just walk into a room: he made a grand entrance. All interactions and conversations with Oz were entertaining. It is no secret that music was a huge part of Oz's life. Whether playing and rebuilding guitars, jamming with friends, cheering on the local music scene or quizzing you about some obscure track he was playing for you from his massive vinyl collection. Tommy loved to wail, lived for the backbeat and listened to every song as if it was the first time he heard it.
Tommy lived in Portland, Oregon for almost 20 years, and most recently worked at Custom Stone Creations. His Portland family includes Joe Molnar, Diana & Hunter Mandel, his present roommate Chris McLaughlin, also Beth McCann, Amanda Nelson, Leif Myrberg, Pete & Erica Boone, Eric Allen, Steve Wilkinson, Jeremy Buckman, Dawn Crooks, Nate Lito, Cookie Heile and the late Pete Vercellotti, Joel & Megan Boutwell, and Chip & Alison Conlon, Portland parents Joseph & Diana Nicoletti, and so many more. Locally, he is survived by his mother Linda Osborn and his only sister Tracy (Osborn) and her husband Jimi Moore of East Liverpool and their children Gage, Jalynn, Randalynn, and Bo Moore who really loved their uncle Tommy. They will miss his playful pranks and interactions with them. They adore their uncle Tommy and miss him very much. Local friends include Scott Litton, Jeanette Garcia Polasky, Doug Nolan, Eric Unger, Bernie Schmidhauer, Maurice Wise, Jordan Smith Warrick, John Haney, Brian Keith, Buck & Lee Wilkes, John Pomeroy, and the late "Rowdy" James Pomeroy, and many more!!
Oregon funeral arrangements for his celebration of life, "Oz Style", are at the Lodge Bar & Grill on 6605 SE Powell Blvd. in Portland starting at 2pm on Saturday, November 9th.
