Roy Joseph Reynolds

Roy was born in Portland, OR to John William and Margaret Marie (DeYonghe) Reynolds on December 29, 1940.

Roy was a happy silly boy that grew into a strong hard working man. Roy served in the army where he learned to prep and cook for many. Roy’s chosen career led him to meet and influence many as he worked for grocery store chains as a meat cutter, and then later in life as a school janitor. Roy made everyone he worked with feel loved, especially the children he served at his schools. Roy’s love for children carried into everything he did. He is survived by his children Dina (Loren) Richards, Roy Reynolds, Paul Reynolds and Patrick (Elizabethe) Reynolds. Roy has 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren that he loved to spend time with.

Roy was preceded in death by his sweetheart Nancy May (Hickenbottom) Reynolds. After Nancy’s death, Roy met and married his lovely wife Mattie LaJuana Rial-Reynolds. and they enjoyed their later years together.

A visitation & viewing for Roy will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 12:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 12:30 PM at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225.

A graveside service will then follow at 2:00 PM at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225.
