Roberta L'lena (Lande) DUVALL, age 76, of Beaverton, Oregon passed away peacefully on Thursday May 7, 2020. Roberta was born February 18, 1944 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to John Betz and Mary Lou (Killingsworth) Betz. At age 11, she was adopted by Kenneth Lande. After moving to Oregon, she grew up in NE Portland. Served as Honored Queen of the International Order of Job’s Daughter in 1962 at the Parkrose Masonic Temple. She attended and graduated Madison High School in 1962. On June 29, 1963, she married the love of her life William (Bill) Clyde Duvall. Together, they raised their two daughters in SE Portland. She was a homemaker while the girls were young and later worked alongside her husband as they ran and operated Gateway Liquor Store for 16 years.
Roberta was an excellent cook and especially loved baking with her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and creating crafts. Her favorite place to be was at the beach. While raising her family, she loved family vacations spent camping on the Oregon coast. She enjoyed learning and performing the art of belly dancing. During her life she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of Women Auxiliary of the Aloha American Legion Post 104. She was an avid reader and could always be found with a book in hand. She loved playing games on the computer, and board games and puzzles with family at home, she even learned to play Sudoku in recent years. She loved dinners out with her siblings and any opportunity to spend time with her family.
Roberta was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, her eldest daughter Tracie LaRae Duvall, and her sister Mary Lou (Jerry) Fitzgerald. She is survived by her youngest daughter Michelle (Mikki) Diane Duvall; her partner Lloyd Howard Krause of the last 18 years; her step-children Kimberly Renee Krause-Seeyouma and Dwight Howard Krause; grandchildren Aaron William Lehl, Marisa Rae Morton, Jesica Lynn Prins, Jenna Mae Sheldon, Karissa Marie Prins and Drew Howard Krause; brothers Thomas Lande (Linda) and Jack Betz (Arlene) and sister-in-law Judith (Ray) Crary.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
