Uncle Bob, 

This year was our first Thanksgiving without you at the table and your presence was missed. I will always remember you as a kind, authentic, and humble man full of integrity, and wow, what a wonderful legacy you and aunt Marlene left behind. It makes me proud. We love and miss you.

We love you and will always miss you, our friend and uncle. You served your country in Korea.....and rarely spoke of it. You didn't speak poorly of others and asked little. We now know of your many
charitable donations.....without flare.  A no frills Son of St. Johns. Our loving aunt Marlene, uncle Bob and Felix (the cat) have left the bulk (substantial) of their estate to the University of Portland to establish nursing school scholorship(s). What a fine example of generosity you have set.

Uncle Bob,
Thank you for being such a big part of our lives. I'm grateful for how you and Marlene accepted me into the family, with no reservations and open arms. That was such a wonderful gift. I'm grateful for all of the fun times you spent with my family (and the entire family). The parties, holidays, birthdays & special events. Just going out for a meal or eating in. Trading bags of books or helping us watch for the Tanager migration in the backyard! I would bring you meals and you never complained if the cooking was less than perfect:) You always greeted me with a genuine smile, big hug and let me know you were happy to see me.
I am grateful for the excellent example you set for us, on how an emotionally mature, loving, kind hearted adult conducts his life. What a genuine gift that was.
You loved my family, and we loved you. I miss your gentle presence, your voice and funny laugh.
