After high school, Minerva worked as a telephone operator. She met Samuel Teeny while he was visiting Lebanon, and they were married on July 10, 1949 in Zahle. Two months later, she came to the U.S. with Sam. They worked together at Teeny’s Department Store, and Minerva helped Sam start Middle East Bakeries, making pocket bread for the shop and hosting youth groups there.
Minerva loved her church communities at Central Bible Church and Fellowship Bible Church. She enjoyed hosting women’s Bible study and other women’s events in her home. She and Sam traveled together doing ministry work with Cru, Executive Outreach Ministry, and Novo. She loved to cook and entertain, playing card games, fishing, camping and traveling. She loved her Lord Jesus, and will be remembered as a kind, generous, and hospitable woman who loved her family.
Mrs. Teeny was preceded in death by her husband Samuel in 2016.
She is survived by five children, eleven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
