Mary Alta Hagerman, age 97, of Portland, Oregon passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024. Mary was born April 27, 1927 in Portland to Theodore and Pearl Dodge. She was the eldest of many siblings, and she herself raised six children, two of whom have preceded her in death.
She worked for over forty years in laundry service, and was a loving grandmother and great-grandma, and loved by all. Mary was known to be generous with her time, always willing to help any way she could, even when she had little to give. She wanted to live to be 100 years old, but her health wasn't able to allow it.
Mary is survived by four children, and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a local chapter of the S.P.C.A. would be appreciated by Mary's family.
A committal service for Mary will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, 11801 SE Mt Scott Blvd, Portland, Oregon. Guests are encouraged to arrive at or shortly after 1:30 pm in order to be led into the cemetery in a vehicular procession.
