Leah Ann Browning, 88, of Beaverton, passed away on June 13, 2017. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan, to William and Zaida (Schwab) Currier, and was raised with four siblings. Leah married Grant Browning, and gave birth to three children: Jeff, Thomas and Christine. Nurturing and guiding her family was always a core value. She also helped develop many young children in her years as an elementary school secretary. Leah found great joy in music, singing classics from her era, and delighting listeners as an accomplished pianist. In retirement, Leah built a sailboat with her husband, and enjoyed many adventures at sea, and then in later years traveled via books as an avid reader. Many knew Leah as a keen listener and counselor, collecting stories, and offering her wisdom. Leah is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, William, June and Peg. She is survived by her sister, Kay, her children, Jeff (Cyndi), Thomas (Susan), Christine (Steve), grandchildren Morgan and Logan, step-grandchildren Kevin, Matthew, Andrew, Parker, and great-grandson, Nicholas, along with many extended family and friends. Leah will be laid to rest next to her husband, Grant Browning; a private gathering will be held at a later date. Leah’s smile, sense of humor, and love will be dearly missed.
