Jocelyn Jeannette Mozak

Jocelyn Mozak died at the young age of 47, after battling breast cancer since the age of 33. A Bicentennial Baby, Jocelyn was born in Burlington, VT in 1976 to Arthur (d. 1/31/1988) and Jeannette. She leaves behind her husband, Christopher, and their two sons: Ryan and Jon and her mother, Jeannette.

During her youth, Jocelyn recalls loving math so much that she remembers asking for math homework for fun on sick days. Eventually she decided to put her love of numbers to use. She studied Electrical Engineering first at Cornell University, where she was graduated cum laude. She went on to a full academic scholarship to Stanford University, whereupon she earned her Master's in Electrical Engineering. After completing her studies, in 1999 Jocelyn married her college sweetheart, Chris Mozak, another electrical engineer. They headed north to Oregon to work at Intel, building computer chips.

Once her sons were born, Jocelyn decided to leave the workforce so she could focus on raising Ryan and Jon. Little did she know she was headed for a bright--and busy--future. A stay-at-home mom, she soon launched a web design agency, eventually turning her business savvy into a second career as a public speaker. Once her sons were grown, Jocelyn’s career came full circle. She returned to Intel, fulfilling her personal professional goal.

While Jocelyn took great pride in these professional accomplishments, she is most proud of her family. Together, she and Chris raised two young men whose work ethic, compassion for others, and an ability so see beyond themselves ensures they will be successful in the years to come. Jocelyn is proud of her sons and loves them dearly; they represent her ultimate success in life.
