Donna Louise Collins

Donna L. Collins, age 87, of Fairview Oregon passed away on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023. Donna was born in Penrose Colorado to Roy and Evalyn Hines. A hardworking and industrious woman, she spent most of her adolescence working hard on her family’s farm, which undoubtedly taught her lessons and work ethic that would define her character though out the rest of her life.

Although Donna had many loves throughout her life, she met and married the love of her life BJ Collins and enjoyed many, many years together and has chosen to rest by his side here eternally as they both meet again with our heavenly Father.

Donna was deeply religious and the spiritual leader of her very loving family. She grew up singing gospel music and praising God in the church. She prayed daily and spoke to God with her last moments on earth.

Donna was the matriarch of love. She was very loving and quick to say she loved you to each person she met up with. It would take some by surprise but by the end they were exchanging that same love back to her. She was very genuine, gracious, forgiving and accepting. She was an angel of pure love. She was also spunky, fun, tough as nails, funny and a firecracker full of stories you could listen to for hours. She had a passionate love for watching the game show channel, wrestling and gardening with her family. There was nothing she didn’t do with love and spirit.

She is survived by her children: Bruce Retchless, Robin Rudiger, Kimala Swearingen, Beckie Boyd, Trena Massey, Sandy and Scott Collins. Loving son in laws, 32 great and grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Westley and Albert Hines.

A visitation for Donna will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the same location Tuesday, May 23; service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, placement of the ashes 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM and a reception to follow.
