Don, you were so loved by all those who knew you.  Your laughter and kindness touched so many lives.  We will miss your great stories, fantastic smile, peach ice cream, dancing to a great tune and singing at our annual Carol sing party.

Don was always such a source of help and comfort to other members of the family. He even stayed in touch with those of us as far away as Virginia. I loved seeing pictures of him with all of the family through the years.

Papa would drive to our house every Halloween to see the kids and pass out candy. This was the first year we told them to stay home and that we would come to them because the drive was too far. I loved how he would always ask what the kids were and would look at us with complete love and confusion as to what a "shimmer and shine" was. 

Every time we went to to visit Papa, he would always take out his digital camera and take a photo of us before we left. About 5 years ago we took over the tradition of taking the family photo with each visit but made sure to prop up our phone so that they were in the pictures with us. <3 

Ellie was always to eager to help blow out any of papa (or meemaw's) candles for their birthdays. He was always so wonderful and patient with the kids, even when they would get loud or decide to wrestle in their living room.

My Uncle Don I will miss you. A great man this was and the best trip ever. Maui at its best with Uncle Don driving the road to Hana. Beautiful memories of a lifetime.

Still remember trying on one of uncle Don's Navy military issue white hats. Many great memories of Christmas dinners & other occasions. The many Christmas cards we received were always a joy that brought back those great memories. We understand the challenges you still have ahead.. Love you guys.

I love you dad. Always and forever. You are an amazing m an. Always treated me and mom like the queen and princess. Everything you always did was for your family. Family get togethers were so important to you. Our time in canby was great and all the years before. A dad and his daughter we can never replace. I love you dad always....

Just remembering all the times we spent in the Morton house as teenagers…..and Don still liked us as adults!  I will miss his laugh, smile and kindness. 

Thank you Papa for always loving me unconditionally & being such a source of love & happiness for me since the day I was born. You leave behind a legacy of love & family that'll I'll carry with me always. I'll love you forever & miss you always.
