A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 8 at Lincoln Memorial Park, 11801 SE Scott Blvd, Portland, OR 97086. The burial will follow soon after.
Butch was born March 12, 1941, in The Dalles, Oregon to William Wilbur Powell. He went to Jefferson High School in Portland, Oregon. Butch married the love of his life, Mary Davidson in Portland, Oregon. Butch was employed as a truck driver for over 40 years. He was an avid boater and spent most of his weekends in his early years fishing out of Astoria, Oregon. He also enjoyed his children and grandchildren whenever he could.
Butch is survived by his three sons, Rodney Powell, Tracy Powell, and Shannon Powell, several grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ella Powell, his wife Mary Powell, and his granddaughter Cassie Powell.
