It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Christine Telfer who left us on December 2, 2024 at the age of 73. Chris was born on March 17, 1951 in Tacoma, Washington to Walter Ray and Alice Alma Bennett.
Chris was known for her kindness, easy acceptance of others, love of the outdoors, dedication to physical fitness, and independent spirit. She deeply touched the lives of her siblings, her daughter, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, friends, and colleagues with her willingness to lend a helping hand and join in family/ friend festivities. Her deep commitment to completing her undergraduate and graduate education, and her hard work with several manufacturing companies and finally having her own practice as a supply chain logistics consultant were important achievements for her.
She is survived by daughter, Bobbie Lee; older sisters, Georgia Hunt and Loni Davis; younger brother, Steve Bennett; grandchildren, Kristina Lee, Brittany Lee and Christopher Lee and great grandson, Brenden Lee - all who will miss her dearly.
Special memories of Chris include her love of golf (which Dad started and her brother-in-law, Jeffrey, got to enjoy with her for many years); her love of Christmas (especially making Christmas cookies which she shared with all); her enjoyment of block parties with neighbors, the occasional game of craps, how much she enjoyed her daily long walks; her signature veggie platter, and of course, her over the top “work ethic” (geez take a break Chris!).
A celebration of her life is being held on January 18, 2025 in Tigard, Oregon at McCormick & Schmick’s Restaurant where Chris often enjoyed a nice meal with family members and friends.
Rest in peace, dear sister. You will always be in our hearts.
