Carolyn was a caring, loving, heart-warming and full-of-life sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
As a girl she grew up in a family of five sisters, all growing up in a one-bathroom house at 3576 NE Morris St. in Portland, Oregon. There she enjoyed chasing her sisters around the table and reaching out while saying "gonna getcha getcha gethca".
Her father Robert worked in construction, and as long a long haul driver, and served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, receiving an honorable discharge from Naval Hospital in Seattle, Washington on April 13, 1945. Her mother Lorraine worked at Woolworth's and the phone company.
Carolyn worked at Newberry's as a teenager, graduated from Grant High School in 1963, was active in school Bluebirds and PTA, and worked at Safeway. She and Keith met at Luther League at Augustana and were married on July 17, 1965 at Augustana Lutheran Church; married 56 years.
Carolyn enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, camping, clamming, fishing, finding agates at the beach, boating, and was an animal lover and loved the beach.
Carolyn is survived by her husband Keith Erdmann, daughters Beverly Coe, Heather Williamson, and Kimberly Ome'y; sisters Elaine Wlaker, Joyce Winters, Diane McQuestion and Susie Dibble; grandsons Austine Williamson, Trenton Coe, and Cavan Ome'y; granddaughters Carissa Ome'y, Haley Williamson, Chole Ome'y and Adrihanna Gonzalez; great-grandson Jayden Carbajal and great-granddaughter Leah Kropinak. She was proceeded in death by father Robert Walker and mother Lorraine Walker.
A funeral service for Carolyn will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Augustana Luteran Church, 2710 NE 14th Ave, Portland, OR 97212. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service at 3:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, 11801 SE Mt Scott Blvd., Portland, OR 97086.
