June Libby Stimson, Falmouth, Maine passed away on October 27, 2014 after a prolonged period of failing health.
June was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph W. Stimson, Jr. some 22 years ago.
June and Joseph ran a dairy farm on Hurricane Road in West Falmouth, with extended family, for many years.
June was born in 1923 in Windham, Maine the daughter of Edna Libby. She grew up on Land of Nod Rd. in Windham and graduated from Windham High School. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Abbie, Inez and Alice.
She is survived by five children; Robert Stimson of West Paris, Ken Stimson and wife Mary of Falmouth, Mary McDonough and husband Mike of Cumberland, Richard Stimson and wife Lori of Falmouth, and Joyce Cornish and husband Michael of New Gloucester. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary Hall of Windham.
June was a "stereotypical" farm wife, who was quite familiar with the hard work that this entails.
June was an outdoors-woman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and 4 wheeling with her husband Joe and family at Moxie Pond in Samoset County, Maine.
At her request there will be no services. Burial will be at Blanchard Cemetery in Cumberland, at a future date to be announced.
