Russell Leon Jacobs Sr.

Russell was born on April 21st, 1928 at home, in Maineville, OH to Thelma and Ralph Jacobs.

Russell was preceded in death by Patricia, his loving wife of 65 years, his son Michael, his grandsons Stephen and Joshua and his granddaughter Jocelyn. He is survived by his daughters Sister Teresa Ann Jacobs SCC, Sister Mary Ann Jacobs SCC, Mariann McKinley (Alan) his son Russell L Jacobs Jr. His grandchildren Jasmine, Joelle, Jennah, Jordyn, Jeremy, Josiah, Brandon, Cameron, Dylan, Grayson, Justin and Brandy. His great grandchildren Joey, Cameron, Wyatt, Savannah, Avery and Isla.

To know Russell was to love him. He had a way of making everyone feel special in his presence. He loved to fish, golf, hunt, bowl, do puzzles, enjoy desserts (in fact, he loved to say “life is short, eat dessert first”) but most importantly to spend time with those he loved, Russell did extensive work in tracing family

genealogy. He had an amazing sense of humor and always had a joke ready to go. He made people smile and laugh right up to his last days on earth.

He served in the US Navy and was proud to be a veteran. He spent the majority of his life working at IBM as a mechanical engineer.

He was loved, he was treasured and was known to be a gentle man. He will never be forgotten by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

A celebration of life will be held at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Port St Lucie, FL on June 11th, 2024 at 10am.
