Robert was born on August 18, 1967 in Glasgow, Scotland and was the son of the late Robert L. Gray of Holyoke, MA and Ann W McKenzie of Edinburgh, Scotland.
Robert was raised in Springfield, MA, and just like his father, developed a love of sports – playing baseball, basketball, and football. He played football for the youth football program, the Sixteen Acres Chiefs, and basketball for Classical High School, where he graduated.
After graduating from Classical High School, Robert went on to join the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in Holland and traveled to many countries throughout his tour of duty and was thereafter stationed in Virginia. Robert then went on to work for Department of Youth Services in Worcester, MA, working with troubled youth; and most recently worked as a medical transport, assisting patients with their medical transportation needs. Robert continued his love of sports and was a big 76ers fan. Rob loved old-school hip hop and enjoyed DJing any chance he could.
He is survived and dearly missed by: His loving and devoted Mother, Ann Mckenzie Gray, Vero Beach, FL; his sister, Angela C. Gray, Port St Lucie, FL; his sister, Andrea T. Gray, Windsor, CT; his nephew, Chaunce D. Dunbar, Windsor, CT; his niece, Amaya M. Gamble, Windsor, CT.
