Born in Plant City, Florida, Mr. Futch was a life-long resident of Florida and lived in Fort Pierce for more than 57 years.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and Mr. Futch retired as a road supervisor for the Road and Bridge Department for Saint Lucie County after 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 358, the VFW Post 15010, as well as the AmVets. Mr. Futch, along with his wife, Betty, were also the past presidents of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
He is survived by his children, Rosalee Peeks (Johnny), Dorothy Castonguay, Richard Futch (Teresa), Jacob Henry Futch "Hank" (Sheri) and Johnny Futch; grandchildren Janel Weigt (Robert Lee III), Jill McCaffery (Robert), Jacquelyn Nelson (Joshua), Kayla Rene Shytle, Philip Castonguay (Courtney), Sarah Elizabeth Futch, Richard Michael Futch, Amelia Foronda (Juan), Ashley Marie Daniels (Shane) and Jacob Henry Futch Jr. (Nicole); great grandchildren Robert Lee III, Kaitlyn Rose, Vivianne Rosa, Kiely Kirstin, Jaxon Alexander, Stella Mia, Rosalie Ivonne and Frederick Valentino "Fritz;" sister, Peggie Futch (Raymond) and sister in law, Ruth Eleanor Thomas.
Mr. Futch was predeceased by his wife, Betty, of 59 years and brother, Johnny Elijah Futch.
