Ricardo Andrew Taylor aka Mr. Fortune 5 lovingly known to his friends and family as Ricky, was born on March 15, 1988 in Saint Andrew, Jamaica, to the loving parents Marlene Hibbert and Albert Taylor.
As a child growing up in Jamaica, Ricardo loved to play and was an adventurous baby. At the tender age of 2, Ricky migrated from the beautiful Island of Jamaica to reunite with his mom, Marlene, in Far Rockaway, New York. In 2001 Ricky moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he lived until his mom purchased her dream home in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. He attended Silver Lakes, Middle School and Port Saint Lucie High School. Ricky with his entrepreneuring mind was always business wise; as a teenager he created his own landscaping business cutting grass and powerwashing yards. Although he had a chronic illness which caused him spouts of pain you could never tell as he would always be giggling, his smile would light up any room. Ricky had this humble spirit and was genuinely happy despite whatever he was going through. Ricky loved kids, dogs, was a great cook, and a naturally talented rapper, producing multiple mix tapes for the masses. Ricky enjoyed having long conversations with his best friend and cousin, Andrew Lindo aka Drew, where they shared their highs and lows and hopes and dreams of the future.
Ricky leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Albert Taylor, step-mom Audrey Taylor, his grandmothers, Peurlin Hibbert and Martha Taylor, siblings, Brandon and Dante Anderson and Chad and Arianna Taylor; along with his step-dad Deon Anderson, beloved nephew, Yosiah Anderson, goddaughter, Araya Delgado, maternal aunts - Jody, Nadine, Pheonia and Tanya, maternal uncle - Garth and more respected paternal aunts and uncles. Ricky also leaves behind a host of cousins, other relatives and friends who have been touched by his infectious smile and inspired by his wonderful charming personality. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marlene Hibbert, grandfather, Keith Hibbert and dogs, Cookie and Kilo Taylor. Ricardo affectionately called Mr. Fortune 5 will be loved and forever missed by his family and friends.
