Marta Felicidad Dutra, age 84, Most beloved wife mother, grandmother And great grandmother passed away October 30, 2022, after multiple years of struggles with dementia. Marta was born in the town of Pria do Norte on the Azore island (Faial) Portugal. Marta was born January 6, 1938 To Francisco Preira Duarte and Maria Garcia De Souto. Her brother was Daniel Duarte and her sisters were Maria Lydia Moitoso and Evangelina Duarte. She is survive by her sister Delfina Silveira.
Marta met her husband the love of her life, 65 years ago, and enjoyed 63 beautiful, married years together.
Marta is survived by her loving husband Rogerio Luis Dutra, her three sons Rui, Roberte, Tony; seven grand children Rui jr., Melissa, Donavan, Jon, Elizabeth, Nicolas, Alex, seven great children Rui Arthur, Eli, Nathan, Serena, Leon, Hank, and Wayne.
Everyone that met Marta said that she had a heart of gold she would prepare many unique Portuguese meals for all the holidays and family get together’s which included homemade breads both sweet and cornbread and bacalao stew. She was also a master chef of Italian food including lasagna as well as southern fried chicken which was better than KFC.
She was a member of the Portuguese American club and went to the Polish American club where she and her husband would dance longer than all the other people. Through her husband‘s work at Pan-American Airlines they were able to travel the world and take many cruises together as they love the romantic settings.
