Dorothy Beverly Phillips born on June 28, 1952 – departed January 20, 2013 resident of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Dorothy passed away peacefully at her home in Port St. Lucie. Dorothy was born and raised in Siloah, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica W.I. She attended and graduated from St Elizabeth Technical High School. Dorothy held a secretarial degree from Fitzhenly Secretarial College in Kingston Jamaica. At the time of her passing, Dorothy was an office manager at the corporate office of Eden Park Management Inc.
She was one of 11 children born to the late Arnold and Eunice Bennett and was the beloved wife of Clive Phillips of 12 years. Dorothy will forever be remember by her devoted brothers, Lacelle and Donald, loving sisters Myrtle, Ruth, and Marie, beloved child Tara Sekayi Phillips-Pannell, treasured grandchild Jadon Sekayi Brown, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Dorothy had a passion for children; she loved listening to gospel music, travelling with her husband and family. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Dorothy was one of a kind; she touched the lives of many people with her never ending generosity and genuine concern for others. Dorothy was the definition of a true friend and never turned her back on anyone in need. She lived by the saying “This too shall Pass” and never failed to remind others going through difficult times that it was only temporary. Her faith in God was untouched. Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing service on Friday, February 1st, 2013 from 6 P.M. – 9 P.M. at Aycock Funeral home, 1504 SE Floresta Dr, Port St Lucie, FL 34983. Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 2nd 2013 1 P.M. at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center, 9221 SE Civic Center Port St. Lucie, FL 34952.
