Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Andreacchio of 53 years; her parents, Sarah and Charles Mirabile; brother, Joseph Mirabile; and son-in-law, Jim Lance. She was a devoted mother to her three sons, Robert Andreacchio, Richard Andreacchio, and James Andreacchio (Deanna). She was cherished by her grandchildren, Rachelle Cortes (Dan), Gina Andreacchio, Nicholas Andreacchio (Emily), Jacob Andreacchio, and Joshua Andreacchio, and great-grandchildren, Angelina Miller, Jason Miller, Wesley Cortes and Avery Cortes.
Anna will be deeply missed by her sisters, Sally Proto, Kathy Castellano (Blaise) and sisters-in-law Carol Mirabile, Ellie Gallinaro and Fannie Cassiliano and by the many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and kindness.
Anna was born in New York City and moved to Brooklyn at the age of 2. She met the love of her life Tony at Coney Island at the age of 14 whom she eventually married in 1954. Anna and Tony lived on Staten Island until 1971 when she and her family moved to Boynton Beach, Florida for Tony’s job. She worked as Traffic Director at WKAO Radio Station in Delray Beach, FL, Admissions Director at Manor Care Nursing Home in Boynton Beach, FL and PBS TV in Boynton Beach in the Membership department, retiring to Port Saint Lucie in 1996.
Anna was an active member of St. Bernadette’s parish and served on the Council of Catholic Women and as Assistant Catechist teacher for many years. Anna also served as Queen of the Scarlet Vamps Red Hat Society, Secretary/Historian of the Port Saint Lucie Newcomers Group, a member of the VIP group, Treasurer of Heatherwood Craft Club, as well as donated her time as a Reading Mentor for Big Brothers/Big Sisters First Graders Jump Program.
Anna enjoyed bowling, card games, knitting, reading, playing Bunko and Mahjong, traveling/cruising and most of all, spending time with family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, who celebrate her life and the legacy she leaves behind. Fly high, Anna/mom, for this is not goodbye, but a so long for now. Until we meet again.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. On Thursday, November 21st there will be a Mass of Christian burial at St. Bernadette Church Church, 350 NW California Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL 34986 from 10:00am to 11:00am. There will be a committal service at Fernhill Memorial Gardens, 1501 S. Kanner Highway, Stuart FL 34994 immediately following the church service.
