Scott Daniel Sowa

February 28, 2022. Scott was born on September 5, 1966, in Springfield, MA. He was the son of

Daniel and Joanne (Pietras) Sowa and graduated from Minnechaug High School and American

International College. Scott was predeceased by his father Daniel Sowa on February 25, 2004,

and his brother-in-law James Footit on April 6, 2020. He leaves behind his mother and dedicated

caregiver, Joanne Sowa, of Port Orange, his sister Cathrine (Sowa) Footit of Ludlow, and nephew

Christopher and wife Julianna Mussleman of Ludlow. He leaves behind his Godparents of

Florida, Mary-Ann Wilcox, and Andrew John Pietras. He leaves behind his uncle Michael and

Debbie Pietras of South Carolina, his Goddaughter Ella Hermans, and Uncle Bob and Auntie

Chris Paul. And also leaves behind his cousins: Kelly, Mary-Ellen, Suzanne, Natasha, Sean,

Kim, and Lisa.

Family and friends will fondly remember Scott Sowa as a loving son, brother, uncle, and dear

friend. Scott enjoyed golfing, beautifying his yard, and trips to Disney and Poland. Scott always

reminded those around him that life is too short and emphasized the importance of family and

loved ones. The family of Scott Sowa is forever grateful to Mark Hermans for donating his

kidney to Scott, giving them additional memorable years with him by their side.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 11 am at Christ the King Church, 41

Warsaw Ave., Ludlow. Burial will be private.
