Dannie was born in Milligan Ridge, AR, on May 27, 1943, to parents George and Odie Webster. Dannie was the ninth of ten children, and is preceded in death by his parents and all nine of his siblings. He is survived by his wife, Linda; three children, Deniece Proctor of South Daytona, FL, Angela Fischer of Port Orange, FL, and Daniel Webster of Daytona Beach, FL; stepdaughter Amy Moon of Fort Pierce, FL; sons-in-law Dan Proctor and Henry Moon; as well as eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Dannie dedicated his life to the Lord at a young age and worked in church ministry his entire adult life. He was the lead pastor at Temple Baptist Church in Fort Myers, FL (1973-1981); Daytona Beach Baptist Church (now CrossRoads) in Daytona Beach, FL (1981–1994), where he played a pivotal role in the construction of the sanctuary and education building; and Beacon Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, FL (1996-2023), where he delivered his final message just a week before his passing.
Dannie also had a talent for singing, and especially loved southern gospel music. As a teenager, he formed his own singing group – the Templeaires – and later in life, he sang with the Brothers Quartet and also the Heartland Boys. He sang his last song “His Grace is Sufficient for Me” during his final church meeting, just eight days before his passing.
He will be greatly missed by his family and all those who loved him.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at CrossRoads Church, which is located at 1851 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. in Daytona Beach, FL. All are invited to attend.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Halifax Hospice Care Center in Port Orange, FL, Dr. Jeannetta Brooks, and all of those who gave Dannie their love and affection during his final days on this earth.
