Alice Faye Vaughn

Alice was born in the Macedonia Community in McKenzie, TN, and had fond memories of growing up on the family farm with her 7 brothers.

She touched the lives of many young people while coaching gymnastics for the City of Daytona and cheerleading at Spruce Creek High School. Alice was an accomplished seamstress, was just learning to quilt. She loved her family, friends, and pets.

Alice is survived by her husband of 52 years, A. Roger Vaughn, daughter Shayna Zimmer, sister-in-law Ruth Vaughn, and brothers Chester and Argel Reynolds of Independence, MO, and many nieces and nephews. Alice is now reunited with her parents Weldon and Mallie Reynolds, and her brothers Gordon, Randolph, Arden, Keith, and Larry Dale Reynolds.

Alice had a servant’s heart and will be dearly missed.

Special thanks to the Vaughn family, the Hogan family, and Halifax Hospice for their love and support during difficult times. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to Halifax Humane Society.

A Gathering of Friends will be held at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, February 17, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at a later date in McKenzie, TN.
