Wendy Dawn Townsend

Wendy Dawn Pearson Townsend, 42, flew home with her LORD on January 30th, 2014 after a long illness. Wendy was born September 17th, 1971 to loving parents, Van and Debbie Campbell Bruns of Orange Grove, Texas and Bobby and Bridgette Pearson of Louisiana. She graduated from Yorktown High School in 1990 and attended college, making her career as an executive assistant and mother.

The love of her life is her only daughter, Jessica June Townsend, 18, of Allen, Texas. Wendy had a passion for life, a heart big as Texas, and a smile that lit up the room. She loved socializing, entertaining, cooking, the Holidays, dill pickles, candy, and the Texas Longhorns. Wendy loved with her whole heart!

She is preceded in death by grandparents: Hollis and June McCown of Seadrift, Texas; Rerett and Freda Bruns of Weesatche, Texas; Jack D. Campbell, Sr. of Seadrift, and Thomas and Grace Pearson of Zwolle, LA, also her uncle Donald Pearson of Corpus Christi.

Wendy is survived by her parents; daughter Jessica, niece Mackenzie Grace Thornton; siblings: Kasey Elsner and husband Cody, Vanessa Bruns, Heidi Bruns, Van Bruns, Jr.; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

A time of visitation will be held from 2 -3 pm on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home in Port Lavaca, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, February 3, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Seadrift with Brother Gary Younkers of Orange Grove, Texas, West Shore Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Seadrift Cemetery.
