Jorge Luis Rodriguez, 60, of Port Lavaca passed away June 6, 2018. He was born June 15, 1957 in Port Lavaca to Cheno and Felicitas Rodriguez. He worked as a Pipe Fitter and construction worker for 40 years and was a Catholic. Jorge loved to go fishing, music and attending concerts. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren and watching them grow. Jorge loved his dog "Chica" who was known to go everywhere with him.
He will be remembered as a selfless man with a kind heart. He took pride in helping others.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Rangel Rodriguez; daughter, Felicia Rodriguez and son-in-law, Roberto; brothers, Jesse J. Rodriguez, Jose Manuel Rodriguez, Roberto Rodriguez and Joe Henry Rodriguez and grandchildren, Damian C., Demetrio C. and Victoria C. Rodriguez.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary R. Escobar, Juanita Rodriguez and brothers, Juan Lorenzo Rodriguez Sr., Cheno Rodriguez and Paulo A. Rodriguez.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Port Lavaca Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jesse J. Rodriguez, Jose Manuel Rodriguez, Roberto Rodriguez, Joe Henry Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez and Damian C. Rodriguez.
Honorary pallbearers are Joe Rodriguez Jr., Russell Yeager, John Eric Cortez and Albert Rangel.
