Adalia Reyna Garza, 84, of Port Lavaca, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at her home in Port Lavaca. She was born in Alamo, Texas to Lazaro Polanco and Maria Villarreal Reyna on November 28, 1938. Adalia was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed looking at the sunflowers from her patio, and people watching.
Adalia is preceded in death by her parents; Lazaro Polanco Reyna and Maria Villarreal Reyna, first husband; Praxides D. Gonzales II, second husband; Gonzalo M. Garza, daughter; Rosie Gale Covarrubiaz, granddaughter; Kassandra Nicole Contreras, sister; Asusena “Susie” Cervantes, and brothers; Lazaro Reyna and Johnny Reyna.
Adalia is survived by daughters; Ruby Gonzales, Brenda Silva, Adelina “Debbie” Contreras, and Dahlia “Mary” Garza, sons; David Garza, John Garza, and Lazaro (Larry) Garza, brother; David W. Reyna, twenty grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous extended family, all of whom will cherish her memory.
Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 6 pm immediately followed by visitation from 7-9 pm, all at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10 am at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home with interment immediately following at Port Lavaca Cemetery.
Honoring her by serving as Pallbearers will be Jason Edward Contreras, Frankie Raul Villarreal, Jordan Childers, Christopher Gutierrez, Mark Garza, Pete Gonzales III, Sammy Gonzales, Jr., and Louie Vasquez. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
