Georgios Siabanis, a cherished resident of Port Jefferson Station, NY, passed away on July 30, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to his family. Born on April 20,1951, in Neo Petritsi, Greece, Georgios lived a life marked by devotion and resilience.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Zoi, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond. Georgios was a loving father to Stergios and his wife, Vanessa, and Evangelos and his wife, Nicole. He took immense pride in his role as Papou to George T., Theo, Chris, George A., and Konstantinos, who were the light of his life.
Georgios was a devoted brother to Konstantinos and his wife, Georgia, and the late Nicko and the late Soultana. He was also a dear brother-in-law to Demetri Vodensti. Georgios immigrated to the United States with his brother Konstantinos, embarking on a journey that reflected his incredible work ethic and determination. His tireless efforts not only provided for his family but also served as a profound example to his children and grandchildren.
A man of many passions, Georgios enjoyed the serenity of hunting and the great outdoors. However, his greatest joy came from traveling back home to Greece each year, where he and Zoi spent every April to October embracing their roots and cherished traditions.
Family was the cornerstone of Georgios’s life. His unwavering commitment to his loved ones and his enduring values of hard work and devotion will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Georgios’s memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing him and in the legacy of strength and love he leaves behind.
A visitation for Georgio will be held on Saturday from 10-11 AM with the Mass immediately following at 11 AM at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Assumption, 430 Sheep Pasture Road, Port Jefferson, NY 11777. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Liberty Avenue, Port Jefferson, NY 11777.
