Suzanne Jane Cook

Suzanne "Sue" Jane Cook, age 74, of Binghamton, NY passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 22, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Nelda Mathers; her husband of 46 years, James Cook; her son, Jeffery A. Cook; and her brothers, Jim and Larry Mathers. Sue is survived by her children, Michael (Nicki) Peasley, Kimberly (Mark) Worden, Michele (Damon) Ashman, Stephanie (Chris) Panella, and Peter (Ashley) Cook; her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Grace, Morgan, Julianne, Lauren, Vivian, Jacob, Madison, Rhode, Isabelle, Avery, Adrianna, Siena, Clara, and Jane. She is also survived by several extended family members and friends.

Sue was a quick-witted, loving, and devoted woman who cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with them during family vacations. She adored going to the beach and found joy in watching old movies and Jeopardy. Sue will be remembered for her sharp wit, her loving nature, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.

Her family would like to thank her care team including Dr. James Walsh, Dr. Matthew Novak, and Dr. Venugopal Thirumurti for the wonderful care they gave Sue.

A visitation for Suzanne will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St, Port Dickinson, New York 13901. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1031 Chenango Street, Hillcrest, NY.
