Richard W Erich

Richard (Dick) Erich, age 90, of Marietta, NY, peacefully passed away on January 1, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Geraldine (Gerry), and their children Lynn (Dan) Heffernan, Sandy (Terry) Stockdale, and Rich (Patti) Erich. Dick took great joy in the company of his grandchildren Ashley and Ryan Heffernan, Briana and Colin Stockdale. He is also survived by his brother Vern (Connie), his sister Ethel Horne, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in St Mary’s PA, Dick graduated from St Mary’s Central High School. Following his graduation, he served in the Army and later earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Trine University. Dick dedicated much of his professional career to Singer-Link before retiring.

Dick was known for his practical skills and readiness to assist, always ready to lend a hand with home projects or household repairs. His adventurous nature and playful spirit led to traveling and exploring the US in an RV with Gerry and the kids and later venturing with Gerry on international trips. Additionally, he cherished spending summertime at the lake, offering a welcoming playground for his grandchildren to build lasting memories together.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, January 12, 2024, 9:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1049 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
