Katherine Violet Andrews

Katherine Violet Andrews went to start her life as an angel on December 23, 2022 while in the midst of Covid. Katherine was born in Binghamton, NY on September 1, 2018 to parents Scott Andrews and Clarissa (Sisson) Walrath. She was known to all her friends, family, and teachers as a stoic yet joyful little person. She woke each morning with a smile on her face, ready to watch her favorite movie “Kung Fu Panda” and start her day. Katherine was a lifelong attendee of the Cullman Child Development Center in Sidney, NY where she learned, played, and grew relationships.

Katherine was intelligent, funny, and kind despite her daily medical struggles due to a rare genetic disorder known as Rett Syndrome. With one look, she could let those around her know how she was doing. She enjoyed being around others but also thoroughly enjoyed her solitude. Her laugh was infectious and those around her expressed their love towards her in the form of a hug or a kiss.

Katherine is survived by her forever grateful and loving parents Scott and Clarissa, sisters, Annabelle and Evelyn, grandparents James and Carol Andrews, grandmother Mary Johnson, uncle’s and aunt’s, Steve and Mickelle Andrews, Shaun and Amy Andrews, Todd Sisson, Michaela Sisson, Cody Wheeler, many cousins and extended family members. She is predeceased by her grandfather Michael Sisson. A remembrance will be held on January 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home located in Port Dickinson, NY in Katherine’s honor.
