He was born August 29, 1936 in Newark, NJ.
Robert served his country with 4 years of service in the U.S. Navy Seabees Construction Battalions. Prior to relocating to Port Charlotte, FL in 1994, Robert and his brother Bruce owned and operated moving and storage businesses in NJ.
Robert shared many hobbies including boating, motorcycle riding and airplane flying with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 38 years, Diane (Maksymowicz), his daughters and sons, Ruthann (Joseph) Skinner, Robin Ross, Robert (Sandra) Mitchell, Raymond (Janis) Mitchell, Rolinda (Victor) Domingues, Roxanne (Vasco) Furtado, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, as well as his sister in law Andrea Mitchell, nephew Andrew Mitchell and niece Elizabeth (Richard) Sullivan, brother in law Edward Maksymowicz and nieces Jennifer (David) Valdivieso and Ava Valdivieso.
He was predeceased by his brother Bruce and his parents Samuel and Flora (Andrews) Mitchell and son in law Richard Ross.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choosing.
In accordance with Robert's wishes services will not be held.
