Mark Smith

Mark T. Smith, 60, of North Port, Florida passed away October 14, 2010. He was born August 20, 1950 in Hammond, Indiana and moved to this area 10 years ago from Clifton Park, N.Y. He was the owner of MS Rascals Loony Bin in Port Charlotte, FL and was formerly with the family owned Smith Pontiac Dealership in Latham, N.Y. Mark was a member of the Elks, Moose Lodge #2121, the Eagles Aerie #3296, and the V.F.W. Post #5690 all in Port Charlotte, FL. Mark was a very giving and loving person who will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Survivors include his wife Karen, father, William G. Smith of Rotonda West, FL; sisters, Shelley (Norbert) Baumgartner of Saginaw, MI; Letha (Terrence) Walsh of Punta Gorda, FL; brothers, William of Aurora, CO; David of Clifton Park, N.Y; mother-in-law, Lois Nolan of North Port, FL formerly of Albany, N.Y; sister-in-laws, Kathy (Bill) Shover of Troy, N.Y.; Lori (Fred) Deichman of Albany, N.Y; Carolyn (Greg) Nolte of Colonie, N.Y; Christine (Ben) Murray of Albany, N.Y; brother-in-laws, Robert (Debbie) Nolan of Amsterdam, N.Y; Keith (Mira) Nolan of Selkirk, N.Y; Christopher (Lisa) Nolan of Albany, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his mother Joan Smith, father-in-law Leo T Nolan and brother-in-law Brian Nolan.

Celebration of Mark's life will be held Monday, October 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Kays Ponger Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel.
