Kathleen Kenney, 74, born June 3, 1943 passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at the Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte while listening to "Come to the Table", by the Sidewalk Prophets. She was surrounded by her two favorite daughters, Deborah and Cheryl, wink, wink, her best friend and partner in crime Jennifer DeHof and handy man Jim DeHof (aka the sister and brother in law).
Kathy retired to Port Charlotte where she was a frequent shopper at the Goodwill and Walmart. If she wasn't out shopping she was at home doing yard work and planting flowers, in Disney or attending a weight watchers meeting where she was a lifer and loved all her friends there. She was the Snow White on her block where many animals would frequent, especially her beloved cardinals. She loved taking her kids and grandchildren to the beach when they came to visit her in Florida.
Kathy is preceded in death by her husband David, her little Maltese, Tazzie and her mother Florence Roddy.
She leaves behind 6 kids in no particular order we all think we are her favorite child...Robert (Christina) Maloney, Deborah (Bobby) Bennett, Karen Mello (her fiancé Paul Tobin), Cheryl (Richard) Jankosky, Sherry (Jason) Peterson, Shawn (Anna) Maloney; sister-in-law, Jennifer (Jim) DeHof; her two little special guys Davi and Lucky- these dogs kept her busy and loved to be by her side; twenty grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She's going to be missed by all of us. Kathy was a free spirit and always on the go and loved life to the fullest.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Tidewell Hospice at www.tidewell.org or to the Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County at www.awlshelter.org
