Joe was a true romantic and adventurer, known for his kindness, generosity, and Christian faith. He loved spending time with friends and family, entertaining, gardening, traveling, cooking, and eating all kinds of foods, the spicier the better!
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Stephen Douglas and Genevieve Anne Stone and his brother Stephen. He is survived by his mother Maxine Louise Alverson; his sister Trudy Stone Purdy; his loving wife Brenda; his four children Linda, Christina, Natalie, and Joseph; his six stepchildren Juan Carlos, Oscar, Lisa, Stephanie, Amy, and Karah; his grandchildren Madison and Isaac; his six step-grandchildren Chyenne, Mahala, Britton, Shawn, Sofia, and Olivia; and other family.
He will always be loved and very deeply missed.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 2pm at Deep Creek Community Church, 1500 Cooper St., Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
