Charles R. Crowell, 88, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away December 23, 2018. He was born August 29, 1930 in Orlando. FL to Thomas and Forest Crowell. Charles moved to this area in 1970. He worked as an Accountant and retired in 1991 from the then Punta Gorda Medical Center (now known as Bayfront Health Punta Gorda). He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Port Charlotte.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Luann Crowell; children, Karen (Mike) Gaines, Debra Crowell, Kevin (Lynn) Crowell and Carl Crowell; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his sister Elizabeth Saunders. He was pre deceased by his brothers, John Robert and Virgil Crowell as well as his parents.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 3, 2018 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E. Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Lee Huff officiating. Burial at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda.
