Betty Noeli Decker age 90 passed away peacefully January 25, 2017 in Port Charlotte, FL with her daughter at her side. She was born on July 17, 1926 to Ray and Pauline Winkelman (nee Hissem) in Canton, Ohio.
She was a graduate of North Canton High School.
She married Paul Decker on February 13, 1945 after he returned from WWII. Together they had a daughter and a son. Betty worked in the dietary field in many hotels and hospitals in Canton area before moving to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1971. She worked at Grants and Something Special in Port Charlotte before finding her favorite job with Fero Construction where she worked until her retirement. She was a member of Port Charlotte United Methodist Church and a resident of Royal Palm Retirement Center until her passing.
She is survived by her daughter Cindy Killian of Port Charlotte, FL and son Dennis (Diane) Decker of Dadeville, AL. She is also survived by her sister and brother in law Wanda and Lee Bauer, sister in law and brother in law Robert and Brenda Decker, sister in law Phyllis Decker, grandchildren Shelly (Craig) Jordan, Christine (Mark) Witt, Shannon Rodriguez, and James (Juliana) Decker. She also leaves behind, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant brother as well as many in-laws on her husband's side.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 6pm to 8pm at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home at 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, FL.
Funeral will be at 11am on Wednesday February 1, 2017 at the funeral home with a Committal Service to follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
