Hong Thi Nguyen

Hong Thi Nguyen was born in Bui Chu, Vietnam. After the fall of Vietnam, her family took an unimaginable journey out of Vung Tau, Vietnam. With the help of the Catholic Charities and family sponsor Mr. Dow Wynn, Mrs. Hong family and one of her nephew Tuong Nguyen were relocated to Port Arthur, TX in 1975 (Her daughter Lan stayed back to wait for her husband who was fighting for the south - Vietnam). In 1980 her daughter and son-in-law Lan and Lam finally reunited and made her family whole once again. She is a devoted Catholic and member of the Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church in Port Arthur, TX. She is a very giving person with a big heart and loves to help with church functions. She loves her family and adores all her 19 grandkids and 17 great grandkids. Her faith in Jesus and family is everything to her.

Hong is survived by her Husband, Nghi Van Nguyen; her children, Daughter, Lan Thi Nguyen

Prayer will be offered on Sunday October 25, 2020 from 5:00 - 8:00pm , Monday October 26, 2020 from 5:00 - 8:00pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 and, also, Tuesday October 27, 2020 from 5:00 - 8:00pm at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will held on Wednesday October 28, 2020 beginning at 10:00am at The Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church with the interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
