Anna is lovingly remembered by her sons, William "Bill" Payne and wife Janis, and Darren Payne and wife Selene; her daughter, Sallie Workman and husband Rick; and her cherished grandchildren: Micah Choate and wife Tiffany, Christin Klayman and husband Peter, Jennifer Workman, Jeremy Payne and wife Audrey, Andrew Payne and wife Tara, Jordan Payne and wife Hannah, Meagan Musick and husband Josh. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Maddox Choate, Cayden Payne, Jackson Payne, Briggs Choate, Jagger Choate, Dreux Payne, Marleigh Payne, Aubrei Kondos, and Colton Musick, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Edgar Payne, her parents, Vincenzo and Letizia Canneto, her siblings Johnny, Jimmy, Sammy, Richie, Frank Canneto, Louise Foggia, and Mary Petro, and her grandson, Erik Perry. Her memory will be cherished by countless other family members and friends who were fortunate to know her.
Throughout her life, Anna dedicated herself to her work and family. She and her husband operated Youngblood's Fried Chicken and owned and operated Zip Chick Fried Chicken from 1969 to 1976, serving up warmth and hospitality to their community. Later, Anna worked as a cashier at Howard's Grocery Store for 20 years, where her kindness and friendly smile made a lasting impact on those she served. She will be fondly remembered for her dedication, warmth, and the love she extended to all who knew her.
A family graveside service to honor Anna's life and legacy will be held Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Park, located at 3900 Twin City Highway, Groves, TX 77619, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband. Her family invites all who knew Anna to join them in celebrating the beautiful life she led.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a charity of choice, in memory of Anna's generous spirit and enduring kindness.
